This is the only review you’ll need
Staying here for three nights was an intriguing experience. While the location is conveniently close to Rockport, numerous maintenance and cleanliness issues diminished the stay's quality. Lack of staff presence, especially during weekdays, was a major drawback, leaving guests without timely assistance. The rooms had potential, but the execution left much to be desired.

I loved that we were just a short walk from both the Rockport Art Center and the beautiful Memorial Park, making it easy for a weekend stroll when we wanted to soak in the sights. our stay was fantastic, with a clean and well-maintained cottage that featured friendly staff throughout, ready to assist us with anything we needed.

Clean room, comfortable bed, and the outdoor swimming pool was a fantastic way to unwind after exploring the area. The free wi-fi made it easy to plan our day trips.

This place was just a proper fit for a fleeting trip in Rockport with value for money. The young lady at the front desk made our arrival experience quite unpleasant with her rude attitude. Just beware of the pests in the room.

missingWrote a review on Aug 17outdoor kitchenspool areaunique cottagescleanliness issues
The outdoor kitchens with grills provided a nice way to cook meals while enjoying the fresh air. The well-maintained pool area made a perfect spot for relaxing after a day of adventure.
The cleanliness of the rooms was inadequate, with reports of dirty kitchens and old odors permeating the facilities. Some guests encountered unpleasant surprises like pests, which took away from the experience. Limited after-hours support left many feeling stranded when issues arose. if you needed anything past 5 PM, good luck reaching anyone. The lack of daily housekeeping led to a sense of neglect, as guests had to manage their own linens and trash, while those who had to pay upfront felt their flexibility was compromised. Overall, unique features like the community center and cozy cottages were overshadowed by these downsides.

Well-maintained pool area.
Our experience was marred by a lack of basic amenities. The hot water in our room was non-functional, which made for an uncomfortable shower situation. Additionally, there was an unpleasant odor throughout the property that was particularly noticeable in the bathroom, making our stay less enjoyable.

would definitely come back
Cottage was super clean and bright. Had a full kitchen with plates and cooking tools. The living room and bedroom had flat-screen TVs. Excellent access to a well-maintained hot tub and nice pool. Great fishing off the private pier too. Really spacious and cozy. Loved the outdoor sitting areas for relaxing.

Staying in the cottage was delightful. it was clean, adorable, and perfectly accommodating for my family. The fishing pier offered great catches, particularly speckled trout, while the pool remained inviting even in the cooler months. However, there were some drawbacks, such as the noise from nearby traffic and the lack of on-site management during the week, which affected our experience. Low water pressure in the shower and an unbalanced ceiling fan also detracted from the overall comfort.

I really enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool at D&R Pelican Bay Resort. The access to the fishing pier was a major plus, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. The staff were friendly, and I appreciated how they helped with my documents that I left behind. However, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. There was clutter and some unpleasant odors that lingered. The shower drain was clogged when I arrived, causing a bit of a mess. The absence of daily housekeeping was also disappointing. It felt like it could use better maintenance overall. My stay had great potential, but some issues made it less enjoyable than I had hoped.

The stay was overall enjoyable. The outdoor swimming pool was great, and I particularly loved the relaxing pier where I could sit and enjoy the view. However, the pool area could use better maintenance as it felt quite crowded at times. Despite some minor issues, the comfortable beds made for a good night's sleep.
